Procedure Character:
Therapeutic application of ultrasound waves with selected parameters.
Procedure Course:
A trained healthcare worker treats the area of the client’s body designated by the doctor using a special ultrasound head. Ultrasound induces a micromassage of the tissues, accompanied by simultaneous warming at the application site. The result is increased blood circulation, improved tissue nourishment, muscle contracture release, scar correction, anti-inflammatory effects, and pain reduction in musculoskeletal disorders.
Main Indications:
Vertebrogenic pain syndrome, arthrosis, joint effusions (hydrops), myalgia (muscle pain), chronic rheumatic inflammation, Dupuytren's contracture, epicondylitis, bone diseases, certain skin conditions.
Main Contraindications:
Pregnancy, bleeding of any origin, tuberculosis, tumor diagnosis + chemotherapy treatment (based on doctor's discretion), epilepsy, hematological diseases, hypotension, cardiopulmonary decompensation. Application is also not performed on organs such as the brain, heart, and eyes, as well as on the epiphyses of growing bones in children and on nerves and bony prominences just under the skin.
