Manual lymphatic drainage

Procedures

Treatment Classification:

Primary treatment, based on a medical consultation.

Treatment Character:

A method for anti-swelling therapy aimed at supporting insufficient lymphatic drainage from the tissues.

Treatment Course:

The client removes clothing and lies down on a bed. The lymph therapist releases the lymph nodes, then works around the indicated area, and finally treats the indicated area itself. Special massage techniques are used during this treatment. After the procedure, mechanical lymphatic drainage follows, if prescribed by a doctor.

Main Indications:

Lymphedema, varicose veins, thrombosis, tired and heavy legs syndrome, painful osteoarthritis, cellulite.

Main Contraindications:

Inflammation of veins, inflammation of the skin and soft tissues, purulent skin wounds, untreated or recurring malignant diseases, abdominal pain, febrile conditions, untreated oncological diseases.

Duration of Treatment:

50 minutes + 50 minutes device (if prescribed)

What to Bring to the Treatment:

Comfortable Clothing

If a device is prescribed, it is necessary to come in long pants, socks, and a long-sleeved shirt (if lymphatic drainage of the upper limbs is prescribed).
