Procedure Character:
This procedure is used in rehabilitation for the treatment of inflammation, pain, increased muscle tension, and to reduce swelling.
Procedure Course:
The treatment is applied directly to the skin of the affected area. By cooling the body part, vasoconstriction occurs, followed by vasodilation. This process improves blood circulation and helps in the elimination of toxic substances from the body.
The flowing cold air can lower skin temperature by more than 20 degrees Celsius, leading to a reduction in swelling and inflammatory reactions.
Main Indications:
Sprained ankle, Achilles tendon overload, muscle tear, stretched ligaments in the knee, frozen shoulder syndrome, postoperative swelling and pain, tennis elbow, inflammation, burns, conditions following surgeries and injuries to the musculoskeletal system, prevention and treatment of swelling, non-traumatic painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system, overworked muscles and tendons, arthrosis, rheumatic diseases.
Main Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to cold, sensitivity disorders, circulation disorders, open wounds, burns, frostbite.

As recommended by the physician.
